This is a varied collection of illustration work that I have done over the past several years. Each sliding gallery once clicked opens into full view. Feel free to take a look around!
Painted Books
For this project, I selected several second hand books and decided to recreate the covers using acrylic paint. Inspired by Kenneth Patchen's painted books.
Portland Maps
The Portland Maps project was commissed by Living Room Realty. Ultimately the 12 maps were used for a calendar to be distributed to customers and clients.
Fresh Air
This series was created for the Girls With Heads event in Portland, Oregon. Each month, an artist is asked to create a series to accompany the theme of the performances.
Ünz Tablé
This was a collaboration project alongside glass artist Matthew Abadi and furniture designer Ryder Sherwood. I created an all encompassing space with painted panels and also designed the social and print materials. Displayed at Open Haus Market.
Paper
This was a personal project in which I used paper cutouts to create compositions. Later these photos were edited in Adobe Illustrator and the colors enhanced.
Arbor Day
This project was a commission by Design + Culture Lab to create an illustration for the Portland Arbor Day event. Poster design by Rob Lewis.
Buenos Aires
After spending a month in Buenos Aires, I decided to create an illustrated book of poems to commemorate the experience. Only 20 copies were made. All illustrations are ink drawings.
Ink
These ink drawings documented my travels in San Francisco and Portland. As a result, several pieces were commissioned for other destinations.
Julie's Recipes
This illustration was created for a recipe book. Both the front and back of the book were illustrated, alongside blank recipe pages that were also illustrated.
